Every year, N-Peace offers civil society organisations (CSOs) the opportunity to apply for small grants. The CSO applications submitted to N-Peace this year demonstrate the scope of the commendable work implemented by civil society in the Asia and Pacific region relating to Women, Peace and Security. Winning CSOs are awarded with a small grant to implement a proposed project, training, and advocacy.
CSOs who demonstrate competency in the following areas are eligible to apply:
- Legal Status: CSOs must have legal status either in the Philippines, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Nepal, Myanmar, Sri Lanka or Pakistan
- Mandate, policies and governance: CSOs must be under a not-for-profit mandate with a clear organizational structure, and must share UNDP’s principles of human development – particularly the principles of equality and non-discrimination
- Constituency and external support: CSOs must have clear constituency and proof of partnerships with other CSOs or governments
- Capacity for Project Management: CSOs must have the technical, managerial, administrative and financial capacity to implement the project they propose.
