New Media Campaigns
The dramatic spread of digital technologies in conflict-affected contexts such as the internet, social media, and application development technology, has facilitated new avenues for civic participation and engagement. This category will support Women, Peace, and Security campaigns within the context of the ongoing peace process through the use of new media technologies. This intersection of mass communication and peacebuilding should accurately address issues of Women, Peace, and Security.
The proposed initiative must:
- Demonstrate how the campaign will directly impact the peace process using new media;
- Address Women, Peace and Security issues through mass communications campaigns; and
- Have identifiable key beneficiaries in Afghanistan.
