Institutional Strengthening

This category will help strengthen local institutional mechanisms for more effective implementation of laws and polices that enable women’s empowerment. The proposed initiative must further:

• Identify local level mechanisms that implement laws protecting the rights of women;
• Demonstrate clear link of how planned activities will lead to strengthening of the identified mechanisms
• Address context specific Women, Peace and Security implementation challenges; and
• Have identifiable key beneficiaries at local levels.
