The N-Peace Awards Alumni is a celebrated group of peace advocates consisting of the nominees and awardees from the N-Peace Awards in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. They are diverse in backgrounds and faiths, yet linked by a strong resolve – to build peace, with and for women.
From high-level public figures to grassroots activists, the Awardees also include a survivor of a rocket-propelled grenade attack who now helps women with disabilities, reformers who push for women’s place at peace talks, advocates for human rights, and supporters of women’s entrepreneurship to fight poverty.
The array of nominees are equally courageous and pioneering; they are community leaders from conflict-riddled provinces, politicians advancing women’s rights, scholars, peace negotiators, and artists promoting peace through creative endeavors. Each individual has a fascinating story to tell. You can view documentaries on awardees via our YouTube channel.
