Uzma Gul

Karachi, is the capital city of the Sindh Province in Pakistan. It is also its financial capital of Pakistan and home to diverse group of people including refugees from neighboring countries. Yet the city is among the hardest places for a woman to live and work[1]. Unfortunately according to the Economic Intelligence Unit, Karachi in 2016 was ranked among the worst cities to live, and Pakistan according to the Global gender Gap Index is one of the hardest places for a woman to live.

Uzma Gul, who was born and lives in Karachi, and has been working there to build peace and promote the advancement of women. She works to bring together provincial leaders and major political parties to a common platform to build strategies and policies for peace.
