Welcome to the 2017 N-Peace Awards! Join us in supporting peacebuilders in Asia working on women peace and security We also celebrate the work of men who advocate for inclusive peace!

Open voting

Approved nominated candidates stories are featured on n-peace.net and promoted through social media tools.

An online open voting process will be carried out 1 July - 30 August, via n-peace.net to choose which nominees become finalists. These finalists will then be judged by our international panel of experts to decide the winners in each category. The Catgories include: 

1. Women transforming their communities (one from each country)This category recognizes the efforts of women (over 26 years) who have demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, prevention and peace building in their communities. There will be seven winners in total for this category, one winner from each of the seven participating countries. 


2. Campaigning for action – women and men mobilizing for peace   (one woman and one man from all countries):
This category recognizes the efforts of men and women (over 26 years) whose efforts have resulted in the advancement of the women, peace and security agenda. This  award covers all countries and will select one man and one woman. 

3. Campaigning for action – women and men mobilizing for peace   (one woman and one man from all countries):
This category recognizes the efforts of men and women (over 26 years) whose efforts have resulted in the advancement of the women, peace and security agenda. This  award covers all countries and will select one man and one woman. 

4. The peace generation – young women and men building peace through volunteerism (single award)
This award recognizes the work of a young woman or man (between the ages of 18-25) who have demonstrated volunteerism as a powerful means of promoting social cohesion and reconciliation through engaging people (especially young people).
This award recognizes the work of youth volunteers and their efforts in policy change, advocacy and mobilization, media communications, or community action have resulted in the advancement of women, peace and security issues.

Production of awardee documentaries

Documentary planning and in-country shooting takes place to capture the stories of all N-Peace Awardees.

The Awards Gala to recognize our N-Peace winners and their tireless efforts in peacebuilding

The film documentaries of our 2017  N-Peace Award winners will be priemiered at the Awards Ceremony in Bangkok. You will be able to view them on our  YouTube channel after the ceremony.
