Ayodhya Krishani Amarajeewa
Ayodhya Krishani Amarajeewa is an independent researcher in the area of conflict prevention and reflective peace building. As a Nippon Foundation scholar under the Asia Leaders’ Programme, she graduated from the University for Peace in Costa Rica with an MA in Media, Peace and Conflict Studies in 2011. She started her career as a development communications professional in 2008 at UNDP, Sri Lanka. She also has media related peace building experience in Mindanao, the Philippines. Her current research is focused on community level peace building, investigating how inner-peace dynamics affect outer-peace. Ms. Amarajeewa actively works to promote alternative ways of making peace and preventing crisis while transforming conflict-prone issues as opportunities for human development.
