N-Peace is active in seven conflict-affected countries in Asia – Nepal, Sri Lanka,
Myanmar, Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines and Afghanistan. From negotiations to resolve protracted subnational conflicts, to post-conflict recovery and nation-building, each country faces unique challenges on the road to peace.
United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 is applied differently in each context. In Nepal and the Philippines, National Action Plans (NAP) on UNSCR 1325 & 1820 are currently being implemented. Across other countries, national agendas on Women, Peace & Security are being collaboratively developed among civil society and government, and in partnership with the international community.
Working in conflict-affected settings requires N-Peace to be flexible and innovative in our approach. Our country priorities and activities are defined by our network members and partners, and implemented with the engagement of both groups.
