Community Mechanisms for PVE

This category will help to strengthen women’s roles in the prevention of violent extremism (PVE) in their communities. Organizations must be able to develop a framework that will mobilize women as the first responders of violent extremism threats, as well as create gender responsive re-integration and rehabilitation methodologies for returnees.

The proposed initiative must further: 

• Identify points of tension within outlined community;
• Demonstrate methodology of strengthening women’s leadership roles in the context of violent extremism;
• Address context specific Women, Peace and Security implementation challenges; and
• Have identifiable key beneficiaries.
