VOTING FOR THE 2018 N-PEACE AWARDS IS COMING SOON

 

A reminder on our categories: 

Criteria I.

Sharing Untold Stories – Women transforming their communities (one from each country):

This category recognizes the efforts of women who have demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, preve           ntion, and peace building in their communities. There will be 7 (seven) winners in total for this category.

This category focuses on women working at the grassroots level (i.e. local communities, Non-governmental organizations)

Criteria II.

Campaigning for Action – women and men mobilizing for peace (one female and one male from each focus country):

This category recognizes the efforts of men and women whose efforts have resulted in the advancement of the women, peace and security agenda. This category focuses on men and women who work at leadership and at the policy and decision making levels. 

Criteria III:

The Peace Generation – young women and men building peace through volunteerism (single award)    

This award recognizes the work of a young woman or man (between the ages of 18-25) who has demonstrated volunteerism as a powerful means of promoting social cohesion and reconciliation through engaging people (especially young people).

This award recognizes the work of youth volunteers in policy change, advocacy and mobilization, or community action that has resulted in the advancement of women, peace and security.

Category 1: Local/community level initiatives on women peace and security

This category will help to strengthen local/community efforts to implement the women peace and security agenda.

   

Category 2: Cross border/regional level initiatives on women, peace, and security

This category will help to strengthen cross boarder/ regional efforts to implement the women peace and security agenda.

  

Category 3: Youth led initiatives on women peace and security 

This category will help to strengthen youth led community initiatives that implement the women peace and security agenda.
